Boppin' With Beth

Wednesday at 05:00pm

We take a trip to the record shop for another Beth's Crate Digging Extravaganza on this episode of Boppin' With Beth. This week, we highlight the 1965 album titled "The Ventures A Go-Go" by The Ventures. This killer album is full of covers and originals by the band. We'll hear the original versions of some of the songs they cover by The Rolling Stones, The Kingsmen, Ritchie Valens, Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs, Thee Midniters and Chris Kenner. There's 2 full tracks of a couple of originals they wrote and snippets of all the others. Nicole from The Surfrajettes is the guest on Beth's Lightning Round and there's a track from them plus one of The Ventures tracks played is her favorite! Jammin' James Riley has a surf song from Southern Culture On The Skids in Hang Ten. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Venturesmania and Hershel Yatovitz have rockers on the show plus the outro is from our buddies, Mark Malibu & The Wasagas.
